Village Homes in French Catalonia
For a holiday incorporating the best of both worlds, we offer self-catering
stays in fully modernised yet traditional Catalan houses in the historic
village of Llauro in the foothills of the eastern Pyrenees above the lovely
town of Ceret with its medieval centre and rich associations with artists
such as Picasso, Miro and Soutine. Each house has been carefully restored
to retain its unique character while offering every modern convenience
as well as roof terraces. Perpignan, the capital of French Catalonia,
is half an hour away, while Barcelona, its Spanish counterpart, is two
and a half hours down the road – in fact, the Spanish frontier is
only twenty minutes away. There are beautiful beaches on both sides of
the frontier and the nearest is half an hour from Llauro, whilst the high
Pyrenees can be reached within an hour, travelling westwards.

In the quiet residential quarter of San Eugenio lies the ‘Oasis’
development with terraced apartments overlooking its private swimming

of self-contained stone country cottages, situated on Adderstone
Hall Country Estate, set
between the A1 and Lucker - very convenient for Bamburgh, Seahouses,
Lindisfarne, Berwick and Alnwick. We offer weekly or fortnightly
holiday lets or for
4 day breaks, and in some cases can
offer long term winter lets. Some of the cottages and wood lodges are
planned for shared time ownership also in 2003. The cottages, ranging
from 2 to 6 bedrooms, can accommodate up to 12 persons; additional
beds,
cots, high chairs etc can also be provided. Furnished to a high quality,
they include all furnishings, crockery, cutlery and bedding.
On site facilities include horse and pony riding with fully qualified
staff, licence and insurance, offering horses for all ages and abilities
and stabling for 11 horses; games; croquet; woodland walks; outdoor
child
play areas. A fully licensed restaurant is available in the formal
rooms of Adderstone Hall, a listed Georgian mansion. Currently being
organised
are an all weather stable complex and a trout lake.
